About us
Each member of the group has a strong interest for music in general. All are part or parts of different musical ensembles. Sea songs are a collective example of their varied tastes in music.
The first show by The Mussels Marinières occured in May of 1998 during the radio program «Mer et Monde», broadcast live by Radio-Canada. The group participated in a telethon for the ‘Village en Chansons de Petite-Vallée’ in May of 1999.
The Mussels Marinières also participated in many benefit concerts in Douglastown and Griffon Cove, in 1999 and 2000.
As well, the group found themselves on stage for ‘The Discoverer’s Festival’ on main street Gaspe, in August 2000.

Opening act for the Jim Corcoran concert in Gaspe
La Fête des Chants de Marins in St-Jean-Port-Joli. Concert recorded live on the 16th of August 2002 by the Cultural channel of Radio-Canada , and broadcast on Saturday the 14th of December 2002, during the program Des Musiques en Mémoires, with host Élizabeth Gagnon.
